New Mexico Office of the State Engineer/Interstate Stream Commission

Please visit the New Mexico State Engineer Office website to obtain a water well drilling permit.

Instructions:

• Go under the tab that says Forms and Applications.
• Scroll down until you come to Ground Water Filing Forms and Fees.
• Under that section, click on Form WR-01: Application for Permit to Use Underground Waters (72-12-1.1, 72-12-1,2, or 72-12-1.3).

Fill out this form along with a $125 fee payable to the New Mexico State Engineer. Once your permit is returned to you, please email, mail, or drop off your permit at Coyote Drilling Inc.
